Adventurous Oak Openings Couples Shoot
Couple photo sessions are our absolute favorite because we get to learn about our clients in such an intimate way. At this fall Oak Openings photoshoot with Saul and Paige, there was never a dull moment. During the entire session, we were laughing our booties off while exploring the colorful Toledo Metropark in Whitehouse, Ohio. Their story is one of a kind.
On their first date, they went mudding with ATVs. (how fun?!) Afterward, they went to a friend’s house but as they were leaving, Saul’s car broke down.. and they had to push it back an entire mile. As they were pushing the car, they peaked the attention of a local police cruiser and were followed all the way back to their pal’s place. Paige ended up finding another ride home.
Needless to say, there were many other dates to come for these two lovebirds. Their adventurous attitudes made our couple session at Oak Openings such a success because they were down to trudge through fields to get to the perfect spot. They enjoy the outdoors so much that Saul made a point to incorporate this into the proposal. Saul had asked Paige’s parents to drop her off on the side of the road that led up to the woods. When she got out of the car, she was handed a note that said “year 1” and was told to stop at each note on the way back to the woods. Each note represented another year in their beautiful relationship. Year 5 (at that point that is how long they were together) was the last note and it was in the middle of the woods where Saul stood. Saul read the final note in a clearing full of lights and a fire that he had prepared. He played their song called “Then” and popped the question. Without a doubt, Paige said yes!
In five words, Paige described her hubby as charismatic, funny, loving, hardworking, and family-oriented. Saul described Paige as loving, beautiful, loyal, responsible, and hilarious. Together, they enjoy adventuring, traveling around the world, playing sports, or staying in and just hanging out. We felt honored to be able to photograph the love of Saul and Paige, and Oak Openings provided the perfect backdrop to tell the story of their love. Their laughs, smiles, and loving demeanor made being their photographer so much fun.
